Peter Tanner, honorary president of the Irish Openair Toggenburg association, had the idea of organizing an open-air festival with Irish and Celtic music in Ennetbühl a long time ago. When in 2008 theRaiffeisenbank Obertoggenburg on the occasion of its 100th anniversaryTourism Nesslau-Krummenau The generous amount of money donated by the company was enough to realize his idea.
Despite changeable weather conditions, the Irish Openair Toggenburg 2008 was a complete success. Over 2,200 visitors found their way to Ennetbühl and spent an unforgettable weekend.
