The Sally Gardens - handmade music
The Sally Gardens, a folk band from Rostock, attaches great importance to handmade music. Equipped only with guitar, fiddle, bass, mandolin and bodhran, but armed with incredible "whiskey" voices, the two blonde ladies play with various guest musicians in almost every pub that crosses their path. They also have years of festival experience.
Their music, which includes traditional songs and instrumentals as well as their own compositions, moves exactly in the space between traditional interpretation and the usual rock and bluegrass versions of today's folk bands. The whole thing is framed by stories that describe the content of the songs in a sometimes unconventional way, as well as explaining their historical background, making "The Sally Gardens" an absolute guarantee of atmosphere - a concert experience of a special kind!
