Irish Openair Toggenburg, only the weather wasn't Irish.

Irish joie de vivre in bright sunshine

With almost 8,000 visitors over two days, the 14th edition of the Irish Openair Toggeburg was celebrated in Rietbad. The detailed festival in "Irish style", great music with various artists such as Skerryvore, Billow Wood and The Swiss Highlanders was a great success. The atmosphere over the entire weekend was simply incredibly cozy and good.

One of the highlights was definitely the performance by the Scottish band Skarryvore. The eight men from Scotland did a phenomenal job of captivating the audience with their sensitive songs, bagpipes and fast rhythms.

The organizers would like to thank all sponsors, landowners and everyone who supports the Openair in any way. First and foremost the 250 or so volunteers. Without the countless efforts of all the volunteers, the Openair could not be held. Many thanks to all of them. Since this year, volunteers have been able to register in a volunteer app so that they can select the desired shift. The app also makes communication between the organizer and the volunteer much easier.

Musical

Brendan Wade & Simon Brem opened the musical part of the Openair on Friday at 16:00, before the Swiss Highlanders (a national pipe band) showed off their skills. The precision with which this troupe played together was simply impressive. The program on the main stage came to an end with the Beermats, the regional Saint City Orchestra and Talisk. Friday ended in the marquee with Quirill & Vincent and a session with Christy Barry & Friends.

On Saturday from 08:00 the breakfast was accompanied by Brendan Wade & Simon Brem. After the sensational performance by Quirill & Vincent and Finnegan from Austria, the band Áed performed in beautiful weather and warm temperatures. After Ganaim, Christy Barry & Friends, ÍMAR created an exuberant atmosphere in front of the main stage before Skerryvore and Billow Wood gave their best. The evening was rounded off by the Beermats and Christy Barry & Friends in the tents.

Catering

The various catering pubs were very popular in all areas. Irish stew, fish & chips as well as seafood (fish soup, oysters and salmon) or crêpes could be enjoyed. The range of drinks on offer consisted of many different Irish beers and a large selection of whiskeys.

Sláinte & until September 5/6, 2o25.
