The valuable Victorian interior of the James Joyce comes from the bar of the former Jury's Hotel, which was located in Dublin's historic city center. When the long-established building was to be demolished, the furnishings of the hotel's own "Jury's Antique Bar" were put up for auction. And so the traditional bar found its way from Dublin's Dame Street to Zurich's Pelikanstrasse.
