Fun became serious. Since we We had known each other for a long time and whenever we met while camping or at parties, we took our musical instruments out of the bag to make some music together. In June 2005 we came up with the idea of performing together more often.
We rehearsed around 60 songs in a very short time, using Ralf's music program to help us. Ralf had already played dozens of gigs as a solo musician, including as a support act/singer for Torfrock, so he had a rich musical program in his repertoire. After 4 weeks we had our first public performance in the restaurant of the campsite Gut Ludwigsburg. It was a great success, the guests were enthusiastic and gave us the courage to expand this project. No sooner said than done, we had to come up with a band name, so the four of us sat down together and thought about it. Why four? Na...., Ralf, Horst, Piet and Tullamore Dew!!!!
A lot of the names we had just didn't fit the band, either they were hard to remember or you broke your tongue pronouncing them or they just didn't fit our music. It had to be a name that expressed the music, us and our origins.
Well, since the three of us all grew up in the same village, albeit at different times but with the same memories, we simply took our village name and translated it into English.Ausacker and fromAusackerbecame Outfield, or more precisely Outfield-Westwood,Ausacker Westerholz. We think we have found a suitable name that we can be proud of.
Further performances followed in which we were able to show off our skills. We realized that we were getting better and better, we realized that our strength lies in improvisation and that is our success. We are not off-the-peg musicians, every performance is different. We don't want the guests to think we're just putting on a show, we want to celebrate with the guests and have fun together.
