The John Doe Band plays folk'n'roll - a driving, groovy sound that they perform with a variety of acoustic instruments as well as drums and bass. The profound melodies and lyrics of their songs are just as much a characteristic of the band as their uncomplicated joy of playing, which sweeps the audience away.
The likeable quartet likes to come up with original ideas and so they have recently been touring from time to time with Simon Lüthi, who comes from a completely different musical background. It quickly became clear that this combination harmonizes wonderfully and opens up a new musical spectrum, ranging from the folk'n'roll of the John Doe Band to the virtuoso folk music of Simon.
