Dream Catcher: Raggle Taggle at the highest level
In English, "Raggle Taggle" means something like uncouth. In positive terms, you could also say: genuine, non-conformist and rustic. When you hear Dream Catcher "live in concert", similar associations quickly come to mind: The songs come fresh off the tongue and don't need any overloaded bells and whistles to reach the listener. The musicians have that rustic "raggle taggle" personality that you can't help but like.
The trio draws on a wide range of folk music, so that the program not only includes songs from Ireland sung in English, but also from Luxembourg. As three languages thrive side by side in cosmopolitan Luxembourg, frontman John Rech sings in French, German and Luxembourgish. This makes a Dream Catcher concert very varied. The spectrum ranges from French chanson to Irish folk ballads. They also have their own singer/songwriting.
